Tips for picking a good one
- Say the name out loud before committing — anything your table will stumble over during a fight scene is worth trimming down.
- The epithet doesn't have to be permanent. Plenty of tables let a title get "earned" mid-campaign instead of starting with one.
- If you're naming an NPC rather than a player character, a shorter first name with no epithet often reads as more natural in dialogue.
